Independent business: Sally Nencini

Originally from Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland, Sally Nencini set up her business at home in South East London in 2009. Having moved family life to Norfolk in 2014, she continues to work from her home studio in Norwich.

Working with lambswool Sally designs and makes most of the machine knitted products herself, from cushions and animals to hats and scarves, as well as working with a small family run knitwear factory in Scotland to produce cotton blankets.

Sally has always been interested in handworked craft, surface pattern, texture and vintage textiles. She often draws visual reference from her love of vintage toys. Using this inspiration she will re-interpret designs for a contemporary audience.
