Where are you from and how did you first get into music?
I am from Newry Northern Ireland and I got into music because I seen Travis Scott do it and was like wow I wanna do that I seen how easy it looked I’ve always loved music so I was like why don’t I give it a go so I dropped my first ever song it’s not up anymore but I dropped it and people liked it so I continued on with my art.
Who were your musical influences when you were growing up and who are your influences now?
Blondie and Def Leppard were my influences when I was younger and now it’s Playboi Carti and Travis Scott, Playboi Carti especially now has been big on me if it wasn’t for Carti I wouldn’t be dropping Atomic hahaha and Travis just inspires me to do so much on the day to day basis.
How would you describe your sound?
Weird/Playboi Carti/Travis Scott type of sound it could either be chilled out trap or real hard trap like something you would see on Rodeo by Travis Scott or Whole Lotta Red by Playboi Carti my sound is also very unique to what anyone else is doing in Ireland and I love that I’m doing my own thing on it too 🙂
What is your latest release called and what was the influence behind it?
ATOMIC is my latest release it’s an ep inspired by old and new Playboi Carti the name came from a Blondie song I seen it on one of my vinyls and was like wow I love that name and actually my girlfriend liked it too so I was like if she likes it I may aswell name it that am I right.
What’s your local music scene like?
My local scene is pretty small in Newry you only got a few rappers, some emo style or Polo G type sh*t I’d say I bring a new sound to my local scene because I’m yet to hear anything I’ve made be made by someone else so I’m pretty unique.
What do you have planned for the next 12 months?
I have a a lot of big things planned for the next 12 months, I have another ep coming out in December time a lot of feature work with a lot of Irish artists and I can confirm a bit of modelling coming soon which I’m most excited for 🙂
Is there anyone you’d love to collaborate with?
I would love to collab with a lot of artists on this island of Ireland especially I think Aaron Everything is pretty unique, I love his stuff Babe Magnet was a slapper for sure, I wanna collab with Bonnie Spencer there was one in the works but never got round to it but it will for sure happen soon very soon but if i was famous I would love to collab with TRAVIS SCOTT OR PLAYBOI CARTI, Trippie Redd would be cool too for sure.
Any funny stories surrounding your live performances?
I have never had a show before so I can’t really talk about a show but I remember performing in front of a few friends and I spat this one bar I can’t remember what I said but whatever I said made one of my friends like jump and fall over this like bar thing and he landed and near broke his arm.
What is the one thing that you want readers to know about you?
One thing I want to let the readers know is that anything is possible if you put your mind to it seriously there is no such word as can’t I’m sick of people saying he can’t do this or I can’t do that YES YES YOU CAN BRUH get off your ass and go get that no matter how small it is things are not gonna come knocking at your door they gon be waiting for you to come get them so pls if you’re ever doubting yourself stop it and chase your dream HARD WORK PAYS OFF for real and I love all the people who supports me I love my girlfriend too she makes me wanna do more in life thanks you for that one ❤
