What was the inspiration behind the EP?
After the two previous EP’s, (‘Feelings Aren’t Facts’ and ‘Carrier Bag Your Career is Over’), which had a lot of production to them, I wanted to get back to basics and record a modern acoustic EP.
How long did the album or EP take to create from start to finish?
Around 6 months.
Which track was written first?
Not Falling.
Do you have any personal favourite tracks?
I really love this EP, but I think ‘Not Falling’ and ‘The Girl with the Raven Hair’ are my favourites.
Were any tracks difficult to write?
For the entire EP I changed the tuning on my guitar to see what songs I could find in the DADEAD tuning, so the diffculty came from having absolutely ZERO idea of what I was playing. Old chord shapes etc no longer worked in this tuning so it was really a case of trying things out and seeing what worked. It was almost like going back to learning to play guitar again!
What do you have coming up in the next 12 months?
A new album and more singles!
