What was the inspiration behind the album?
I wanted to give Ireland something different something new. I see Irish drill being repeated over and over again to the point where it’s starting to get old no disrespect to my fellow Irish artists out there but I just really wanted to give Ireland a bit of new taste. I’ve always been a fan of this style of rap ever since Playboi Carti Whole Lotta Red but never got around to doing it. But I got a bit of a push by my people around me and here we are LIFE’S A RAGE is out I also did it for my fan base it may be small but I wanted to give them something to go crazy too luv them all ❤
Did the pandemic have an impact when recording the album?
No I only started working on this album in 2022 but I’m sure if I did start working on this album in the pandemic I would’ve really struggled on this album. Cause a lot of this album relied on studio sessions and meetings with the sound engineer octave music. So if I was in lockdown while this album was in the making I don’t think it would even be out yet.
How long did the album take to create from start to finish?
7 months! I wanted to focus on perfecting this punkish voice. The voice you hear on the album I put on and to perfect that alter ego took 2 months in itself. I feel like if I had of spent longer on this tape it would’ve been perfect but I sort of rushed it out cause people wanted new music so 7 months done it. Also back and forth with me and the sound engineer on mixes took up a lot of time too cause we both wanted that album perfectly mixed and in my eyes the mixes turned out great.
Which track was written first?
FLEX was the first ever written song on the album you can tell it’s the first written song and also the first recorded song by the way that punkish voice is put on. It’s closer to my normal voice than the voice I wanted to put on for this album so yeah FLEX was the first written song luv that song.
Do you have any personal favourite tracks?
If I had to pick one song off the album to listen as a favourite it would be RAGE CLUB I love that song and it is also a fan favourite too from the catchy lyrics to the jersey club beat and mixing everything about this song just screams rage in the club. It took the longest to write too cause the beat was perfect so I wanted the vocals and lyrics to be perfect too I think the start of the song was re-recorded about 10/15 times trying to find the right word to shout at the start of the song was a task but we settled on damn! And added a bit of autotune and thankfully it turnt out perfect!
Were any tracks difficult to write?
RAGEAHOLICS was hard to write because I was trying to mesh with little man. That guy is a lyrical genius and his flow on this was unbelievable so I had to try my hardest to match his energy so that’s why that song was so difficult to write. Ay shoutout to little man tho man is on a madness always.
What do you have coming up in the next 12 months?
I’ve been working in the background as always and I can confirm new music is on the way my birthday is May 24th and I hope to be dropping an EP “Gemini season” on that date and then after that we are on album mode once again this one is going to take a while but I promise yous all that this one will be worth the wait I’m going to be giving everyone a bit of everything on this album 25 songs and hopefully big names on this. Without giving too much away the name I have for this album currently is “fresh eire” so we will see how this one fares out.
