What was the inspiration behind the album?
The book ‘The Sixth Extinction’ by Elizabeth Kolbert was a huge influence on this album. The theme of Extinction runs through the whole record.
Did the pandemic have an impact when recording the album?
It was written pre-pandemic.
How long did the album take to create from start to finish?
About 2 years.
Which track was written first?
Distraction Technique.
Do you have any personal favourite tracks?
Distraction Technique has done so much for us. It received multiple plays on Radio X from John Kennedy (even the MAW remix was played numerous times) and on BBC 6 Music from John Kennedy. This track got us on to major music festivals and we still play it at every live show we do.
Were any tracks difficult to write?
I’m sure some of the tracks took a fair bit of work but that’s been lost in the mists of time. I know I spent a lot of time writing the lyrics.
What do you have coming up in the next 12 months?
We are currently working on our 3rd record.
Genre: Punk/Post Punk/New Wave
Released: 1st November 2019
