What was the inspiration behind the EP?
The EP came about through my first collaboration with producer Dan Wilde. I just brought a few recent songs I was proud of and happy with into the studio to work on with Dan, and it was really exciting to see them come to life through his input on the production and arrangements.
Did the pandemic have an impact when recording the EP?
No.
How long did the EP take to create from start to finish?
About a year – but we took our time and dipped in and out of the process. All of the songs were written before we started recording.
Which track was written first?
We Can Get Lost.
Do you have any personal favourite tracks?
I think Watch the Clock is my favourite. I still perform that song a a lot, and I particularly love the arrangement on the EP.
Were any tracks difficult to write?
Watch the Clock was the most challenging emotionally – but also cathartic.
What do you have coming up in the next 12 months?
I will be releasing a new single soon – watch this space!
Genre: Folk, acoustic, singer-songwriter
Released: 12th November 2018
