Independent business: Chanchala

I am a Sri Lankan-born artist living and working in Brighton. My focus is colour with the intention of expressing emotions and ideas through colour and mark making.

My colours are vibrant, mostly intense, sometimes subtle. I have a particular interest in the interplay between translucency and opacity, light and dark, veils of colour interacting with others.

I work mainly in acrylics, but incorporate oil and mixed media when the artwork calls for it.
